Cool, calm and collected – are you REHAU-BEHR’S new Purchasing Manager?

At REHAU-BEHR A/S – a pretty cool company in the cooling industry, to us at least – we are looking for our new colleague to lead the purchasing department with a structured head and attention to detail. Are you a skilled negotiator, technically savvy with solid purchasing experience? Then please read on.

At REHAU-BEHR, a collaboration between BEHR A/S and the German group REHAU, our vision is as clear as the innovative glass solutions we develop for commercial refrigeration. 

Making the most of your solid overview and negotiation skills?
As purchasing manager, you will step into an important role as you will be the main point of contact with our suppliers abroad, ensuring that the procurement process runs smoothly while also negotiating valuable company contacts. In your day-to-day, you’ll work closely with your colleagues in the purchasing department and your main responsibilities will include: 

• Ensuring timely acquisition of goods/services & maintain quality standards and cost efficiency. 

• Collaborating with the R&D team to understand technical requirements & source appropriate materials. 

• Developing and maintaining good working relationships with suppliers. 

• Creating comprehensive reports and presentations to provide insights to management and inform decision-making processes. 

At the office you will become part of a social work family. On Mondays the company sponsors our lunch to start the week in the spirit of “hygge” and collaboration and help us update each other on the coming week. Putting the office space to good use some of us do yoga in the show room and this relaxed vibe also extends to our flexible work hours. Is yoga not your thing? Don’t worry, just join the staff association and enjoy other fun activities with your co-workers.    

We don’t have any specific demands as to your background, but you do need a good technical understanding to be able to source appropriate materials and work with R&D – if this comes from your education or somewhere else is not that important. One requirement to be successful in this role, however, is that you are fluent in English at negotiation level as this is the how’ll you’ll communicate with suppliers and many international colleagues. 

Details and overview are important at REHAU-BEHR, so if you have a natural inclination towards structure and thoroughness, we really hope to hear from you. You don’t need to color code your calendar but being a calendar enthusiast would be a great start. Using Excel and other tools to analyze data, identify trends, and forecasting are hopefully tasks you enjoy as they are an important part of the job as well.  

You can expect 25-35 travel days a year where you’ll meet the suppliers.
